Now any time you save a page you have edited, you can count on the old version of that page being saved for later restore if you ever need it!
Backups are stored in the same area/category/subcategory of your site as the "parent/original" file.
Here is how you can manage backups:
(a) Go to the page you want to see backups for and click (show pages). OR if the page is gone you can click (show pages) for a page you know to be in the same area as your lost page.
(b) Click " Show auto backups: Restore an old page"
(c) Here you will see all your backups, sorted by date.
(d) Click " View Content" next to each backup to determine which one you want to restore.
(e) Once you know which one, click " Restore Page" next to that one and you are done!
NOTE: This is not the same as full site/database backups done by Scott daily. Those are still being done. You now have an additional backup/restore that you can control yourself.
NOTE: The system will automatically delete oldest backups for any given page once there are 3 in storage to keep the database size manageable.
