When I’m designing a team of AI agents, I’m not just writing code – I’m managing dynamics. I clarify who does what so agents don’t step on each other’s toes. I delegate based on strengths. I anticipate where things might break down and head off problems before they happen. Sound familiar? It’s exactly how you’d lead humans.
The difference is in the medium. With people, you read body language and adjust your tone. With agents, you craft prompts with the same care – anticipating confusion, encoding attitude, specifying outcomes with precision. If I want an agent to sound reassuring or decisive, I say so. That’s empathy, just translated.
I call my approach “vibe coding.” Instead of programming every step, I describe the vision and constraints in plain language. The platform translates that into agent behavior – proposing tools, breaking tasks into steps, surfacing ambiguities. The clearer and more emotionally attuned my input, the better the team performs.
The monitoring part mirrors management too. When output feels off, I ask: Is the prompt vague? Are two agents conflicting? Is one dominating? These are team dynamic questions, not technical ones.
